the perfect gift

Folks have always had a hard time knowing what to get Alex for Christmas or his birthday. Heck, even Jeremy and I are sometimes at a loss. We generally tell people that anything with lights and/or music is a safe bet...and that still holds true. However, one of the (many) perks of knowing him as intimately as his father and I do, is that we get to pick out some off-beat gifts for him. Something people would never think to get for anyone, let alone a 9 year old boy! Behold, one of Alex's Christmas presents this year:

He'll love playing with this. He's very tactile, and this will certainly get his interest. You know you're the parent of a child with autism/sensory integration disorder when you buy him a poop tube for Christmas.
