responsibility

I've finally started giving Ben chores. Yes, I know...he's seven and is just now being expected to do things around the house? I really meant to get him started younger, but with Alex and the chaos surrounding our lives during that time, it was just easier for me to do everything. Starting yesterday, his chores are to make sure the table is clean, empty the recycling, pick up all his toys that are around the house, sort the laundry and put away the towels and his own clothes. While he's doing his chores, I do mine...you know, to set a good example...so our house is looking much cleaner these days. Granted, we only started yesterday.
