banging my head against the wall

I'm so frustrated right now.

Just found out the bus doesn't want to transport Alex anymore (haven't heard officially, just from his teacher and aide). Apparently he's been screaming loud (um, so do a whole lot of other special needs kids) and he kicked the aide in the stomach and left a bruise (yikes, sorry to that poor aide). To me, this sounds like a problem with this particular bus...as he has never had these issues before (he's always loved riding in the bus). Also found out the driver and aide on the bus have no special needs training. What?? Perhaps some training in how to handle a special needs kid would be in order before kicking him off the bus.

And finally got an email response from the neuro regarding the possible link between lack of seizures and increase in behavior issues....and she pretty much is saying that's it's very rare, so that couldn't be it. WHY??? Why couldn't that be it? I don't CARE if it's rare....it has happened, and COULD be happening. Uuuurrrrghh! She says that we don't want him to have seizures because they can be damaging to a developing brain. Um, HELLO??? And beating himself to a pulp isn't damaging?? How is he able to learn when he is always preoccupied with harming himself? He keeps his hands under his shirt because if they're out, he uses them to hit himself. How in the world is that helpful to his development? Not to mention we were told that the only "bad" seizures (ie, damaging to the brain) were the infantile spasms. Now we're being told something different?

Why must everything be a fight? I'm so tired of it all!
