blackberries

I took Ben down to the river to pick blackberries today. He picked about 20 and then was off riding his scooter. I picked for about an hour, and ended up with 3 1/2 pounds of blackberries. That ought to last a little while! Tonight I used 5 cups of them in a Berry Crisp recipe. Mmmm!


After berry picking, we met Jeremy for his lunch break. Walked around campus a bit, went to Pita Pit to eat (first time I'd been there...pretty good food- and really liked that they had romaine lettuce and spinach as options rather than the worthless iceburg lettuce strips), and then it was time for Jeremy to get back.

Tomorrow I'll be back in Corvallis (third time this week....we really need to move there) to get my hair done. I'm about 2-3 weeks overdue, and all my gray hairs are starting to sparkle. After that we'll head to Salem to see Alex and maybe go to a "family fun fair" at the riverfront park.
