today

Alex is doing okay. He is walking very gingerly, and we're really hoping it's because his muscles are sore, and not that there is any permanent damage. He still needs a lot of help going up and down the stairs and getting up into our minivan. Other than that, he seems back to normal, albeit a very sedated normal. We're giving him Ativan for the next few days to ensure that his brain remains calm. He slept in until around 10am today, and is now at school. He gave his teacher a big ol' grin, so I think he's happy to finally be back. Unfortunately, this is the last day of school before Thanksgiving break. The kids are off school all next week due to parent teacher conferences and Thanksgiving.

Ben came home today with a placemat to use at Thanksgiving. They were to write something they were thankful for at the bottom, then draw a picture of it. Ben's says, "I am thankful for eating." He came off the bus wearing a turkey headdress and brown paper...thing.
