the art of lying (or at least omitting the truth)

Ben hasn't quite gotten down the art of lying yet (not saying that's a bad thing....). Today I asked him if he got a stamp (they get stamps on their hands when they've been good at school). He hesitated, then said "Kaelan said not to tell you that I got a time-out." I said, "Oh really? What did you get a time-out for?" "I didn't tell you! Pretend I didn't tell you!" Too late, kiddo. (Time-out had something to do about him sitting in Kaelan's seat...not sure what happened but they both got a time-out for it.)
