Ben has been interested in addition and subtraction for awhile now. We've kind of touched on negative numbers when he's asked us something like "What's 2 minus 13?", but whenever he tried to figure it out, he'd always say zero (which makes total sense when you're talking about tangible objects like taking away apples...there's nothing tangible to show a negative number so it must be zero, right?). Well, last night after doing some addition and subtraction, he said, "1 minus 2 is... negative 1!" Wow, I was impressed!
