I just talked to Neal, who will be Alex's service coordinator for CIIS....turns out Alex will be on Medicaid!! This is such great news, and such a shock! I had no idea this was part of it. No more copays! No more 20% our cost medical procedures! No more buying diapers (okay, I knew that was part of it...but I thought it came out of the overall yearly CIIS budget, which would have taken a nice chunk out. Since it's Medicaid, it'll be separate.)!
I swear, it's like we've won the lottery!!!! I've been wishing for a medicaid waiver for SO LONG, and here it is! They won't take into account the parent's income....only Alex's. Off to do a happy dance...
