He's also doing really well in school. I'll officially know how well in a couple weeks when we go in for the parent/teacher conference, but he's doing his homework with minimal resistance and doing a good job on it too. His fine motor skills have really taken off, and he's doing well printing.
I took Ben to the pumpkin patch yesterday for pictures, and wouldn't you know I forgot to bring my CF card. Ugh. So, just got a few with my phone, which was not was I was going for....so we'll have to go back out another time.

Today we took Ben to the OSU Kids' Day for Conservation. My favorite was watching the Search and Rescue dogs work (they had a little girl rub her cheeks with a piece of gauze, put it in a ziploc bag, then hide (someone from the sheriff's dept led her to the hiding spot...not like they just let her find her own!). We all lined up so the dog could smell that we were not who he was looking for, let him sniff the gauze again and then off he went. It was so cool watching him sniff the ground right where she walked, and seeing him decide which way to go when her scent turned. He found her in less than 90 seconds. Jeremy's favorite was the electricity demonstration, and Ben's was petting a few snakes, and getting to scoop up and look at pond critters before letting them go again. He also enjoyed making paper...it's in the kitchen drying for a couple days.
After that, we headed over to Jackson Frazier Wetlands where we took a brisk walk along the boardwalk. There was a sign up saying that a cougar had been spotted on the 2nd, and what to do in case of an encounter. I read it to Ben, and he was scared to go in. Jeremy gave him a piggy back ride most of the way.

Here's my print ad in Valley Parent magazine (local, free magazine). Paid for four months. Exciting! I already got an email from someone wanting to book my Baby's First Year package, but after talking to her on the phone, not sure if she'll be able to afford it or not. If just one client books in the next four months, it'll pay for my ad. Fingers are crossed.
