ended better than it started

Despite our horrible morning yesterday, then afternoon/evening went pretty well. And Alex was downright happy this morning.

I sent the video, complete with me cursing and crying (I edited the video down for the blog so that got cut), to the neuro (Dr. B) down in Oakland, asking for help and wanting to know why we'd been waiting 16 days to hear back from her regarding Alex's behaviors. The video garnered a direct phone call from the neuro herself saying how incredibly sorry she was for the delay. Gave me the reasons and excuses for not getting in touch sooner, and graciously acknowledged that non of that excused the lack of communication, esp in a case as severe as Alex's.

We will be backing off on the Risperdal, as all the increase seemed to do is make him ravenous, which in turn did nothing good for his mood. We will be introducing Trazadone, which we've tried to no avail in the past, but are ready to try anything again at this point.

Dr. B also told us she'd make sure we got in for the VEEG in August, even if it meant bumping another patient back. Another thing I've been waiting to hear back on, since Jeremy will need as much advance notice as he can get.
